Expectation and testing
the activity of selecting is something that we do continuously
through out the day. Whether , we choose to wear jeans or trousers, eat
parantha or omelette, take a course on physics or chemistry , go for a movie
with our friends or read a book at home, we are making choices all the time .
the important thing to remember is that in most cases, we make a selection
based on a taste that is already within us. In other words, we choose to eat
chocolates beacause we know , we know its tasty and we choose not to eat
karelas because we know they taste bitter.
In other
words, the activity of selection or tasting is the activity and the capacity
for that activity or its power is called expecation. They are linked to one
another and so we constantly expect something and fulfil it through selecting .
this relationship also reverses because sometimes our expectation changes due
to change in our taste. For example ,because we like author we choose to buy
his books, but when our taste changes and we like another author, we then
choose to buy her books. The important thing to remember is the selecting
happens in the self and not in the body. And the activity of tasting is the
basic level through which the self interacts with the body. All inputs information
from the body are passed on to I via tasting while all instructions to the
body from I are passed from the
activitiy of selecting.
Body an
intrument of the self or I:--
There is a
big difference between the body and the self. Let’s take the self
first. The self is a conscious entity and know that it exists. The body
is a material entity and only does what the self instructs it to do. The self
think, takes the decision and then instructs the body to act accordingly. For
instance , when the self decides that it
is time to study, then the body sist in a chair, opens up the books and starts
reading . the self absorbs whatever the eyes read, analyzes that information
and understands it. The body does not sit in the chair and open the book
without the bidding by the self and the eyes alone do not understands whatever
they read. The self instructs the body to sit and open the book and the self
understands the information being read by the eyes. Thus, the body is a tool or
an istrument of the self.
